Kaymu Launches its Online Shopping App in Pakistan

You may already know about Kaymu.pk, an online market place notorious for having more things on sale than you could possibly sift through in a life time. Recently, they launched their Android app for Pakistani users. It’s meant to be a convenient way to access the marketplace for the burgeoning number of online smartphone users in the country.

Speaking about the launch of the App, Kaymu Pakistan’s Country Manager Adam Dawood stated, “Pakistan is about to face a huge spike in online commerce. With the large number of mobile users and sales of smartphones estimated to grow to 40% of the market from the current 15-20%, our new mobile app will help position us to reach users who do not have access to computers regularly. Through this app we would like to reassert our commitment to the market and further cement Kaymu.pk as the leading marketplace platform in Pakistan.”

Let’s move on to the app itself. Available for Android smartphones, it allows you to login through your Facebook account or sign up using email.

For buyers, once you add your address and a few other details, buying anything is just a few swipes away. It’s possible to complete the entire checkout process for items you’d like to purchase from the app.

For sellers, the app can keep a track of the number of orders received and allows you to add new listings as well. You can get notifications about sales and other activity on your account. Overall, at no point did we feel that the app was hamstrung in terms of user experience when compared to the website.

As far as the design and performance is concerned, we are quite impressed. The design is a standard affair that gets out of the way and keeps the focus on shopping. Considering how many products Kaymu.pk offers, the speed of the app was a pleasant surprise. On the whole, we actually prefer shopping from the app rather than the website so it’s a job well done for the Kaymu mobile team.

You can download the Kaymu.pk app from Google Play Store here.
