This particular app contains every book that is available on the official Punjnud website. Thus, any uploads to the website carry over to the app. You may download the books of your choice on your smartphone or tablet to read later offline. Though, you must make sure your device supports Android Jelly Bean or later for optimum experience. Inferior Android versions lack proper unicode support which results in disjointed words. It’s pleasing to note; though, that any errors in books can be corrected by signing up on the Punjnud website. With a rapidly growing collection of books, Punjnud promises content in even more languages in future.
In case you wish to save books and settings, all you need to do is to sign up from your Punjnud app. This would not only save the settings you prefer but also place your books under My books tab. Should you log in to your account from a different device, your books would still be sitting right there. The use of Jameel Noori Nastalique font was meant for a proper reading experience in Urdu and Punjabi.
However, it seems to disjoin words in some places. Readers will have to bear with it until this is fixed. There are a plethora of religious books that you may choose from. These include: the Holy Quran with translation in Punjabi and Urdu, Ahadiths, Na’ats, Hamds and Marsiya. The translation of the Bible has also been added to the database.
Readers would be pleased to know that the work of most renowned writers can be found in the library. These include: Mirza Ghalib, Baba Bulleh Shah, Faiz Ahmed Faiz, Allama Iqbal, Mir Taqi Mir, Munshi Prem Chand, Ismaael Marethi and plenty others.
