Ufone has entered into a strategic partnership with Livestock and Dairy development department, Government of the Punjab under which is undergoing major public policy shifts from curative to preventive regimes with new dynamism and vigor by implementing the first ever virtual governance project on e-governance.
Under the agreement, Livestock and Dairy development department will develop a mechanism (mobile software) with which its workforce in the field will be able to report their findings through smartphones from where-ever they are instead of getting back to their offices for just reporting data.
After the implementation of project, in which Ufone would facilitate through its expertise in the telecom sector, officers of Livestock and Dairy development department will be able to get consolidated reports from the field right on their smartphones and desktops.
Approach will also help the department implement and shift from RTA (Restricted by Time activity- 9-5) to round the clock availability(24/7), making it tireless, effortless and flawless.
Regarding the Project, CCO Ufone, Mr. Asher Yaqub Khan said,
We are extending our all-out support to the Livestock and Dairy Development Department in implementing this unique project, which will make government available 24/ 7 instead of restricted by time 9 to 5 activity.
Both of us share the same vision for development by making it meaningful and productive for the masses.
Mr. Naseem Sadiq, Secretary Livestock & Dairy Development Department expressed his views saying that,
The implementation of this virtual-governance project would open new horizons for the Livestock Sector in particular and for whole of economy in general and will transform the way public sector interacts with the citizens by making it more responsive to the changing patterns in the style and focus of service delivery and for measuring performance of both the HR and the Public Policy interventions.
