Daraz Introduces Infinix Hot 2 In Under Rs.10,000

Infinix has been targeting the Pakistani market with great looking and decent smartphones for the budget conscious consumers. As usual, Infinix has partnered with Daraz.pk to launch a new mid-range smartphone, Infinix Hot 2, in the country.

Designed in Paris and Shanghai, Infinix Hot 2 is a normal sized smartphone that takes cues from its bigger sibling the Hot Note Pro. Infinix Hot 2 features a 5-inch HD IPS LCD display at the front. Infinix claim that the LCD panel of Infinix Hot 2 is of a very high quality with great screen legibility, colours and sharpness.

The back of Infinix Hot 2 is covered by a rubbery material with a dotted pattern giving the phone a unique look.

Infinix Hot 2 is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor manufactured by Mediatek. The phone comes in two versions, one offering 1GB of RAM while the second one comes with a much beefier 2GB RAM.

The internal storage in Infinix Hot 2 is 16GB which is plenty for a low to mid-ranger. Infinix Hot 2 also supports microSD cards of up to 32GB giving the users choice to expand the memory on their phone.

The camera is a 8MP shooter at the rear and a 2MP front facing camera. The phone is powered by a relatively small 2,200 mAh battery. Hot 2 supportd 2G and 3G networks only.

  • Can any body tell me about this phone. Is it better than Q mobile or it is like Q mobile?

    • I still think a QMobile A1 is a far better choice, solely because its running Android One; which means its already updated to Android v6.0 (M), while other manufacturers such as Infinix (or others) are still stuck with Lollipop.

      • This one is an Android One phone in Africa. The version in Pakistan has Stock ROM on it, therefore it is as good as an Android One phone. :D

      • I think you can install android one rom on it. hardware is same ,the phone is sold in africa as android one.

    • android one is not mentioned in this article, not even on daraz, but if you check infinixmoblity.com or jumia.com(also daraz brand) they mentioned Android one in their site, but if you look closely design of the set is different, specially back cover, that is why i am not sure it is android one phone or not

  • pretty sure the cam is HORRIBLE and the outdated mtk cpu is going to hog down the OS …

WHY CANT THEY USE 64 BIT PROCS AND 2GB RAM AS STARTING SURPLUS !??!

    • well camera is decent and so the display, phone is buttery smooth lot better than Qmobile A1 which priced higher than this one.

      • fine … if we can get decent specs in under 15k , im good.
as long as the tech’s not outdated…

        • Are you fckin kidding me ? Seriously dude stop bitching about it and get your facts strsight, who is in Pakistan offering such low price on that hardware ?

          • nope … not kidding.
im saying phones SHOULD start with a price tag in the RADIUS of 15k (means , they can cost from 12k-18k) but should have respectable SPECS !

in china they have a phone costing $100 with 64 bit hardware and decent 8mp rear cams ( just google Bluboo xfire) that beat almost ALL cameras on every qmobile , rivo , infinix you’ll EVER use in pak.

thing is poor pakis are STILL getting outdated h/w in the 20k range … when 64 bit should be bare minimum after the 10-12k mark !

there , i somewhat rectified my rant. HAPPY ?~

              • 20k +
                :/ , thats mid-range premium

im talking about entry-level phones having latest tech (hence MY demand for good specs under 15K )

    • Do you have any choice in mind which has 2GB of Ram, and is under or equal to Rs.10000?

64bit CPU will surely increase the cost, so i don’t think anyone will try to inlcude it in this price range.

    • Because then they can’t sell it for 10,000. That’s probably the cheapest a smartphone can get.

  • it would have been a lot better if it came with 4G, then I would have gladly spent 11,399 on 1 GB and 12,399 on 2 Gb version.

    • Not an android one phone in Pakistan but it is an android one phone in Africa. So updates should be certain if infinix is a consumer friendly company. Otherwise, people will have to update manually by flashing the the latest rom from the African version.

  • I guess it is not android one because “android one” is not printed on back of the phone as it is on all other android one devices.

  • Infinix Hot 2 mobile has only 2 sensors, QMobile A1 has 8 sensors.

Infinix Hot 2 advantage of 2gb ram and 16gb ROM, while QMobile A1 1gb ram and 8gb ROM.

Voice Quality: on QMobile A1 is very bad, i don’t know about Infinix Hot 2.

i wish Qualcomm based Android One reach Pakistan, or WileyFox Swift mobile.
