Ufone to Advertise Third Party Social Initiatives During Ramzan

In line with the true spirit of Ramzan of caring and giving, Ufone today announced a unique campaign that will shed limelight on 3 different humanitarian initiatives.

Under this new initiative, Ufone — instead of advertising its own products — will donate free media space for advertisements on television channels, newspapers, billboards and digital media to three third-party social initiatives.

Ufone said that these advertisements, worth millions of rupees, will enable such social causes to reach out widely to the masses with their messaging seeking inspiration and support for the benefit of the deserving.

Ufone has additionally also developed the content for this promotion on all mediums.

The 3 initiatives under this campaign are:

  • Operation Eid Child,
  • Deewar-e-Mehrbani,
  • Khaana Ghar.

All 3 initiatives have been conceived and are conducted by individuals in their personal capacities.

“The telecom industry is generally seen as spending substantially on its own media advertising, brand promotions and celebrity endorsements, but with our Ramzan 2016 campaign we have changed the paradigm by providing media projection to relatively small but highly impactful initiatives, said Rainer Rathgeber, CEO Ufone at the campaign launch ceremony held at UTower in Islamabad.

“Ufone’s brand is all about U and these organisations are a role model for such an attitude. We hope through our lead other companies too will be encouraged to come up with strategies to show ownership of social issues.” said the CEO.

The purpose of launching this campaign in the Holy month of Ramzan is to inspire viewers to support the vulnerable and underprivileged in their communities by either doing their own acts of generosity or by supporting the work of these three organizations.

Ufone is highlighting these initiatives through a large electronic media campaign to share the message of goodness with all Pakistanis.

Ufone’s CSR focus has remained the socio-economic uplift of society, not only through its own CSR initiatives, but also through supporting committed individuals and organizations who are working selflessly for societal progress.

Below are TVC with some details about the initiatives that Ufone is supporting:

Omer and Daniyal initiated the Dewar-e-Meherbani under the banner of Wadaan in Peshawar, where people keep clothes for others in need.

Throughout Ramzan, in addition to clothes, non-perishable food items, shoes, and other gifts can also be kept at the Dewar-e-Meherbani.

Like these individuals, you too can be a source of happiness for others. Join Wadaan in this act of generosity, or start this initiative yourself in your own area.

Khana Ghar

Khana Ghar was founded by Parveen Saeed in Karachi for the sole purpose of providing food to the needy.

For the past several years, Khana Ghar has fed hundreds of people in Karachi each day, by serving them warm meals for only Rs.3.

You too can join this noble cause, or start a similar initiative in your own area.

Operation Eid Child

Operation Eid Child, founded by Sharmine Aziz in Islamabad a year ago, has enabled thousands of individuals to give back in the form of boxes filled with presents that are distributed amongst children in need, all throughout Ramzan and Eid.

You too can spread joy by becoming a part of this outstanding initiative, or starting it yourself in your own area.

  • Same old Ufone …brilliant with their ads and Shittiest with their services…

    • I’m using Ufone since 2003, very satisfied with the services and haven’t found any issue yet.

    • By starting similar initiatives in your own locality or by joining hands with the ones that are already up

  • Don’t forget this Dewar e Mehrbani was initiated by JDC Welfare and just did Bazar e Mehrbani last Sunday at Karachi Expo.

So I feel good that ufone lead that concept by donating airtime for such cause.

  • I would like to appreciate ufone for these beautiful concepts…………….!!!
