NetSol’s NSPIRE Incubator Opens Applications for its 2nd batch

NetSol’s incubator, NSPIRE, is fresh off their first cycle of incubation in which they took in three budding startups. Now, they are accepting applications for the second batch of their incubation cycle.

NetSol Technologies is one of the front-runners in technology and enterprise business in Pakistan. Last year, they launched their very own incubation program, called NSPIRE. It’s first cycle started this year and incubated Electroid, a home automation software; Tutorciti, a real-time online tutoring service; and MOQA, an online event planning platform.

What is NSPIRE?

NSPIRE offers a five-month incubation program for technology and business startups. Entrepreneurs from all over Pakistan can submit their ideas and be part of their incubator once they’re selected.

The top 5 selected startups get help the top start-ups in legal advice, receive mentorship from experienced industry experts and have an opportunity to make use of NetSol’s global network.

The selected start-ups are also offered a working space for up to 4 members of the team and are expected to comply with 7.5 percent equity stake with NetSol. There are also other perks, like an investor “Demo Day” where each team will present their company and product to business leaders and investors.

NetSol has also been conducting events in universities, such as the recent Throw-a-thon at LUMS. They offered the top runners in the Throw-a-thon an opportunity to partner up with NSPIRE. They are now looking for startups for their second batch.

How to Apply?

The application procedure is pretty detailed and you’ll need to set aside some time to do this.

  1. Think about an idea and work out the details for it.
  2. Form a team of a minimum of 2 members. There is no limit on the maximum number of team members but note that NSPIRE will only offer working space for 4.
  3. Prepare a Video Pitch in 90 seconds and upload it on Vimeo. (this is optional)
  4. Head over to NSPIRE’s website to apply for the program. As soon as you open the website, you’ll be prompted to download the complete application file so you can prepare the material for the online application procedure.

Once you are done, submit the application online. The deadline for submission is 5th of October. Nspire will start shortlisting in mid-October but the final selection will be made on the 14th of November.

The second batch will then start working with Nspire as soon as the 21st of November.
