New Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air is Coming on December 23rd

After making waves in the smartphone industry, Xiaomi entered the personal computer market this year.

The Chinese smartphone maker (and now PC maker) introduced their latest Mi Notebook Air in July this year.

It was later made available in Pakistan the next month but was overpriced due to import duty.

Apparently Xiaomi is not planning on slowing down in the PC market and is planning another announcement on 23rd December. The company is going to reveal the next models for their Mi Notebook Air line of laptops.

Is Xiaomi going to launch a 4G capable notebook? The image shows a 4G icon at the bottom right corner of the screen which seems to indicate that the company is indeed going the 4G route with this.

The details are scarce for now but we will know for sure when Xiaomi unveils it in Beijing this Friday.

Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air Features and Specifications

Earlier, Mi Notebook Air launched with two different models, a 13.3 inch model and a 12.5 inch model. They featured different specs.

The beefier 13.3 inch version houses an Intel Core i5 6200U processor with 8 GB of RAM. A 256 GB SSD covers the storage with a dedicated Nvidia GTX 940 MX GPU included as well.

The smaller 12.5 inch model contains an Intel Core m3 processor with 4 GB of RAM and a 128 GB SSD. It does not have a GPU installed but it does contain a PCI-E slot so you can install one if you want to.

Mi Notebook Air 13.3 inch model has 2 USB 3.0 ports while the smaller 12.5 inch one contains only one. The 12.5 inch Mi Notebook lasts longer on battery compared to the 13.3 inch one, which is one of its plus points over its bigger sibling.
