Building on its previous mini flagship, Huawei will be launching a 2017 version of the P8 Lite. To confuse you further, the phone will be sold as the P9 Lite in a few markets.
Design-wise, the phone seems to follow the design language of Honor phones of late. It is a curvaceous, modern-looking phone with glass on the front and back.
The display is a 5.2” IPS FHD, with an 8 MP shooter at the top. The back also boasts a fingerprint scanner, coupled with the 16 MP f/2.0 shooter as well as LED flash.
Under the hood, you get a mid-range home-baked Kirin 655 processor with its two quad-cores clocked at 1.7 and 2.1 GHz respectively, accompanied with 3 GB of RAM and 16 GB storage, which is expandable. You are aided with a hybrid-dual SIM card slot, as well as microUSB, LTE, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS for your connections. A 3000 mAh non-removable battery will power the phone.
The phone will be available starting from the end of this month, for $255, making it another solid mid-range offering in Huawei’s portfolio.
