Lahore Traffic Police Starts Free Vehicle Repair Service

Everyone’s experienced that grim feeling of rushing out to the car in the morning only to discover that it won’t start, or being stuck in the supermarket parking lot or on the side of the highway. Well, it seems that people in Lahore won’t have to worry about this anymore.

In Lahore, the City Traffic Police (CTP) has started mobile workshops for citizens – a free of cost workshop that can help car owners that need assistance on the road.

The Mobile Car Repair Service

There is already a mobile car repair service working at the Lahore-Peshawar motorway. You can call their helpline and request a mobile repair in case your car breaks down on the side of the motorway.

CTP Lahore is doing something similar, but with bigger aims – their initiative covers the whole city instead of some specific routes.

If you are stuck in an unfortunate situation, an individual can call 1915 helpline from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm to request help.

As per the traffic authorities, the portable workshops are currently positioned nearby Siddique Trade Center, with plans to grow its operations in different parts of the city with time.

Contains Everything You May Need

The portable workshop van is fully equipped with all the necessary parts, fluids and tools they could need. They come with:

  • a welding plant
  • a battery charger
  • an air tank
  • and a steel cutter

A technician and a circuit tester will escort the van to facilitate the citizens in need. The van will also be able to tow a car to a different spot if required.

A year ago, Traffic Police in Faisalabad presented a versatile mobile service where residents can access to every one of the services with only a basic touch. CTP Lahore’s initiative has expanded on that idea, with a commitment to serve more citizens in what is the cultural capital of the country.

  • Please do not make it free for cars because in future we will consider it our right, instead of this make it free for bikers.
