NASA Space Apps Challenge 2017 To Be Organized By Gujranwala 2.0

Gujranwala 2.0 aims to boost the city’s IT sector and groom the youth.

Having started only a few months back, Gujranwala 2.0 has already pulled off some notable events including Gujranwala’s IT Expo, Meetup of IT Industry of Gujranwala by calling all freelancers, IT gurus and students etc.

To promote the IT sector in the city; the organization is now organizing the NASA Space Apps Challenge 2017 in Gujranwala. The event is set to be held in GIFT University from 28-30 April, 2017.

About NASA Apps Challenge

NASA Space Apps Challenge is a worldwide event which is held every year; this year the number of cities organizing the event is 164 and the number of cities is increasing as are the registrations. The 48-hour event is geared towards space enthusiasts every year.

Coders, scientists, designers, developers and students from around the world await this event. Willing to put their skills to the best use, the participants aspire to develop sustainable solutions to the global space issues being faced by the world.

The opportunity to mingle with the global NASA community, learning from their experience as well as the attempts to develop solutions for today’s problems are what the participants are looking forward to.

Prizes will be given out as well. The first prize being Rs. 100,000, followed by Rs. 75,000 and Rs. 50,000 for second and third positions respectively. The certificates of appreciation for all the participants are awarded by NASA as an accolade for their efforts.

The event, being held under the mutual collaboration of Gujranwala 2.0 and GIFT University Gujranwala, will be sponsored by Ask For Host – a domain and hosting service provider company. The sponsors will award free hosting and domain services to the top 10 teams of the event.

If you’re willing to compete in the NASA Space Apps Challenge 2017 to be held from April 28-30, 2017 in GIFT University, Gujranwala, you are requested to register your team and fill in the below given form as soon as possible. The number of participating teams is limited and your teams will be registered on first come first serve basis. We will notify you if your team is chosen to take part in the event.
