Xiaomi is Launching a New Phone in Pakistan Tomorrow

Xiaomi is gearing up for a new product launch in Pakistan tomorrow. The official Facebook page suggests that “something extraordinary” is coming with an emphasis on the letter “X”.

As evident from the photo, Xiaomi will launch a new phone (or phones). The “X” suggests that it will be either a Redmi 4X or Redmi Note 4X smartphone.

The company has confirmed to ProPakistani that a launch event is going to be held on Friday 19th May in Lahore.

Here’s the image:

Judging by the bottom bezel shown in the photo, it seems like Redmi 4X may be the mystery phone. The Redmi Note 4X has a smaller bottom bezel which makes it an unlikely candidate.

Xiaomi Redmi 4X was announced back in March as a beefed up version of the original Redmi 4.

Redmi 4X Features and Price (China)

It comes with a 5 inch display with HD (1280 x 720) resolution. 2.5D glass covers the front of the phone and seamlessly joins the sides of the phone. Redmi 4X features an all metal body as well as a fingerprint scanner at the back.

The Redmi 4X has an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor clocked at 1.4 GHz. It comes in 2 different flavors of 2 GB/16 GB memory or 3 GB/32 GB storage.

The 4X has a 13 MP primary camera and a 5 MP front camera. The primary camera features an LED flash and Phase Detection Autofocus.

The real killer spec of this phone is its 4,100 mAh battery.

Xiaomi Redmi 4X goes for $100 for the 2 GB RAM variant and $130 for the 3 GB RAM version in China. You can expect higher prices in Pakistan though, owing to taxes and other costs.

  • lol … They still not getting out of low end sets .. what they are upto?? what about Mi 6 or similar sets at least go for 20-30k sets range !!

    • When they can cater to the budget constraints for the 95%population.. Why bother with any thoughts on more expansive sets? Qmobile and such might not be able to sustain this type of price to product ratio..

  • Was thinking about getting 4a before Eid, if the price is close enough, will go for 4x.

    • just entered in google search bar $100 in pakistani rupees and it returned 10482.50 and Redmi 4A is 16GB = 13900 and 32GB = 14500, now think about it.

      • Actually, it is kind of misleading. It went down to 12,900 at one time. Yesterday, Daraz was offering it for Rs. 12999 plus 10000 mah power bank and 6 month Zong Internet. So, effective price is about Rs. 11,000

        • I bough 4A from Daraz @ Rs 8799 including 10000 mah power bank on 16 May HBL sale :)

          • Via *credit card* which is not an option for most of the people (because of financial and/or religious constraints)

    • Jo English samajh na aati ho logoun ko kuch bhi,
Us English likhnay walay ko (yahan se) bhaga do.

    • Abdul Wahab, apka name bht acha hy par apk kam bharrwo’n waly hain, jesy kanjar log krty hain na wesy, ap hain intehai 2 number, har post par apni gandd mat pesh karain

  • Specs: Display says it is 720p and Camera is 1080p … can somebody explain / comment about it as i didn’t know much about technical specifications.

    • dude camera 1080p is for HD pictures not for viewing in your cell phone… for example only 1 phone in market have 4k display and that is sony xperia XZ premium (3840 x 2160 pixels, 807 ppi) but many phones comes with 4k camera and 4k video…
