airblue to Fly 30,000 Hajj Pilgrims This Year

airblue has just commenced its fourth year of Hajj flights.

airblue inaugurated its Hajj Operations on July 24, 2017 from Karachi, Peshawar & Multan in the presence of many respected dignitaries. Governor KPK, Mr. Iqbal Zafar Jhagra, State Minister for Religious Affairs & Inter-Faith Harmony, Mr. Pir Muhammad Amin Ul Hasnat Shah at Karachi & Director Hajj Multan, Mr. Rehan Abbas Khokhar & Chairman Union Council, Mr. Malik Asif Rafique Rajwana at Multan, were all in attendance to see off the first batch of Hajj pilgrims flying to Saudi Arabia.

airblue will accommodate approximately 30,000 plus pilgrims this year, with a total of 162 outbound (with 45 extra sections) and 152 inbound flights (with 57 extra sections).

More than 17,000 pilgrims will be flying under the government’s Hajj quota and a further 13,000 under private Hajj Schemes as part of airblue’s flights.

Hajj flights will fly from Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Peshawar and would be going to/from Jeddah and Madinah.

airblue is also offering complementary Hajj kits for the pilgrims including hajj bags, umbrella, water bottles and marble pouches to passengers on-board.

Next-generation and Youngest Fleet

Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft, with an average age of three years have been allocated by airblue for flying out Hajj pilgrims. The aircraft feature spacious & reclining seats, with an in-seat power supply (charging) facility as well.
