Facebook Brings Startup Masterclass event to Pakistan

Facebook is holding Startup Masterclass, an event designed to help startups better leverage the Facebook ecosystem and the opportunities the social network presents, in Karachi next month.

Home to over two billion users, Facebook is a global phenomenon too big for anyone to ignore. It is also one of the biggest tools used by brands all over the world. Naturally, the social network is seen as an important weapon in the arsenal of startups, young and old, looking to expand into new areas or markets.

However, not many startups in Pakistan have been able to fully exploit Facebook’s potential and the tech giant wants to change that.

What is Startup Masterclass?

Startup Masterclass is a half-day session, arranged by Facebook itself, and hosted in collaboration with Institute of Business Administration’s Computer Science Society.

The team from Facebook will give an introduction to the Facebook developer, ads and messenger platforms and help people learn about building, growing and managing a business. They’ll also dive deeper into their developer products, marketing APIs, etc; telling you the best practices for implementing them and unveiling case studies on partners that have seen success with Facebook tools.

Who should attend?

According to the event page, this event will cover both technical content as well as marketing and user growth strategies. They recommend each startup/company send up to two people (1 from product/engineering & 1 from marketing) to attend the meetup to ensure full coverage.

When is it?

Facebook Startup Masterclass will be held on 5th September at Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Main Campus, KU Circular Rd, Karachi.

How can I apply?

You can apply for the event by heading to the registration page and clicking on “Apply Now”.
