In the Cricket world, Pakistan has always been known for producing talented fast bowlers. The 17 year old, Shaheen Afridi, is one of them.
A promising talent of Pakistan under 19 cricket team has been in the headlines for his height and natural skill with the ball. The youngster tries to copy Mitchell Starc and his physique does make him look like an identical copy of the Aussie superstar.
He has already impressed many fast bowling enthusiasts. Now, The 17-year old has signed a 2 year contract with Dhaka Dynamites in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). Dhaka Dynamites is one of the leading franchises of Bangladesh’s franchise based T20 league.
Shaheen will have the opportunity of playing alongside greats like Kumar Sangakara and other noticeable stars.
The promising left arm pacer was unearthed by Legendary Leg spinner Mushtaq Ahmad during an Under 16 talent hunt programme conducted by PCB.
One of the greatest fast bowlers of cricketing history, Waqar Younis, also rated him highly.
Shaheen consistently clicks the 145kmph mark. His natural in-swing to right handed batters is termed deadly but he can also deceive batsmen with his out swingers.
Some of the Franchises of PSL have also contacted him to be part of their team, claimed Saya Corporation the Company which represents Shaheen Afridi.

Shaheen is the younger brother of former test cricketer Riaz Afridi. He belongs from Khyber agency and is confident of making it to the National cricket team. With bowlers like Shaheen emerging on the international scene, Pakistan’s fast bowling future looks bright.
