Careem, popular ride-hailing service provider in Pakistan, has been trying to maintain its top spot by improving its quality and offering incentives to both, captains and passengers. The company’s marketing skills only have accorded them popularity.
A survey on ride-hailing services showed that 73% of people who own a smartphone have some sort of ride-hailing app installed and a general voting procedure showed that 76.04% users prefer Careem, which is a very high number.
On 23rd of September, the company launched a “Super Saturday” offer which aimed to boost Careem’s popularity, the number of customers and captains, and it will be in effect for both Captains and Customers alike.
Customers can now earn a Careem credit of Rs. 2000 into their accounts if they refer someone to Careem and get them registered as Careem Captains. Same offer is applicable for current Captains as well. They can also refer another person to become a Captain and get Rs. 2000.
Rs. 500 will also be given to the person who signs up as a Captain upon a referral.
However, the newly registered (and referred) Captain must complete 8 rides for the offer to become legible. Another point to note is that the offer is only available in Lahore.
