The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has decided to establish a state of the art Sports University in Islamabad.
The Sports University will be established with the collaboration of Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) and Inter Provincial Coordination (IPC) at Islamabad Sports Complex.
Both institutions have come together to promote sports in the country and give a fair chance to everyone and this institute will be the first of its kind in the country. Moreover, the purpose is simple: to train the body as well as the brain.
For the purpose of the establishment of the university, land has already been allocated in Islamabad Sports complex. Furthermore, HEC also plans to conduct Olympics at University level in December this year.
The sourced further added:
We have sorted out modalities with HEC that has given its approval for establishment of the Sports University. The world renowned sports personalities and lecturers would be invited to interact with the local sports persons and help them walk with latest trends in the world.
The Sports University will be equipped with state-of-the-art sports facilities and will also have class rooms, halls, conference rooms, auditorium and food courts.
The source concluded that “training workshops would also be arranged in the Sports University not only for the sports persons but also for the coaches to help them excel in their respective fields.”

You are right. This should be highlighted in international media. This country was waiting for 2017 to invest in sports. It will take probably 2097 to invest in education and 2117 to invest in technology. Worst part, population of Pakistan don’t even bother.
Rather than sports, Pakistan should have correctional and rehabilitation centers for radically inclined population.

This is simply great brother. Rather than addressing the elephant in the room, we tend to take the blame route. I seriously think this initiative is too little too late. BTW I live in Karachi.
