International Labs Confirm that Haleeb’s Products Meet All Safety Standards: PFA

Based on comprehensive tests carried out by 2 independent international food testing laboratories at the behest of the Punjab Food Authority (PFA), Haleeb’s UHT treated packaged milk was found in compliance of the specified quality standards, thereby negating all baseless rumours of recent months about its quality.

It is to be noted that Haleeb’s packaged milk was tested earlier in the year on the orders of the Supreme Court and had cleared those tests too, based on which the Supreme Court had declared Haleeb milk fit for human consumption in a ruling on March 9, 2017.

At that time the honourable Court had instructed the PFA to conduct another round of tests during the summer period to reconfirm the consistency of quality, and now the results of this second round of tests has reconfirmed the conformity of Haleeb milk to the laid down quality standards.

The PFA had collected the samples of all UHT milk companies from the market and sent these for analysis to 2 independent testing labs, Intertek and SGS laboratories. Both the labs belong to separate international chains of food testing laboratories and their results are accepted globally. The tests of both laboratories have confirmed that Haleeb milk is free from any harmful elements.

Haleeb Foods Limited CEO, Memosh Khawaja, said that the test results of the 2 laboratories engaged by the PFA have reconfirmed that Haleeb’s UHT packaged milk is of high quality and meets all applicable food safety standards.

Memosh Khawaja also lauded PFA’s commitment to ensuring supply of safe and hygienic food and beverages for the public and stated that Haleeb Foods limited supports the PFA and other regulatory bodies in their work towards industry development.

  • What a farce and an orchestrated circus. Supreme Court never declared your milk fit for consumption. Post URL to their final judgement because i could not find any.

  • Please read/consult last month’s herald. There is a detailed article regarding milk and tests conducted on the orders of supreme court. Only haleeb brand was found not fit for human consumption and declared harmful. It can be found online as well in heralds website.
    Regards.

    • @Sha@shafqatullahmirani:disqus I just read Herald and it says below in the last so i think Haleeb is safe. Herald issued clarification and that also includes ref of Court Order and Herald never miss report anything and especially court orders – check below:

“We wish to set the record straight regarding the latter.

A civil petition was filed in March 2017 regarding the quality of packaged milk and the Supreme Court of Pakistan further issued an order in which it stated that “As per the report submitted by the Punjab Food Authority (PFA), the milk produced/packaged by Haleeb Foods Ltd is fit for human consumption.” Haleeb milk has already been tested by SGS in December 2016, following rumours that it contained formalin and the report found the Haleeb milk sample to be free of formalin.”
