Apple has announced distinctive partnership with Malala Fund. The CEO of Apple, Tim Cook, is concerned for the education of little girls.
According to a press release on the company’s website, 130 million girls are out of school. Poverty and gender inequality only adds to the number. Something has to be done.
Apple’s Help
Tim Cook will join Malala Fund leadership council. Apple’s project shall be paired with Gulmakai Network (a program named after Malala’s anonymous pen title). It will double the number of grants and 100,000 more little girls could get secondary education — for a start.
Apple intends to help in technology, curriculum and research. The company will also help make policies to erase stereotypes that haunt school walls.
Yousafzai understands the value of the generous offer.
I am grateful that Apple knows the value for investing in girls and is joining Malala Fund in the fight to ensure that all girls can lead without fear.
Expansion
Malala Fund currently operates in Pakistan, Afghanistan, India, Nigeria and Syrian refugee areas in Jordan and Lebanon. With the help of this project, secondary education for girls could extend to Latin America and greater parts of India.
Poverty serves as a greater challenge against education — for both little girls and boys — in Africa and the greater Middle East. The public is hopeful that these countries will receive assistance from Malala Fund as well.
For now, Apple and Yousafzai are on a glorious mission to provide twelve years of secure education for little girls. And it has begun.
I just want Apple to open their stores & start selling their products in Pakistan officially ?
Wow third world problems? ? ?
