Huawei has unveiled a mid-range phone which is focused on photography. The Y9 (2018) seems like a redesigned/reskinned Mate 10 Lite with dual cameras on the front and the back.
Design-wise, the Y9 is made of metal and glass (on the front), offering the same package as most of the other mid-range smartphones these days. It will be available in Black, Blue and Gold.
The screen comes with a 5.93-inch 18:9 IPS LCD display, with FHD+ (2160 x 1080) resolution.The phone looks simplistic and ordinary, with a fingerprint sensor on the back.
Under the hood, you get the familiar Kirin 659 processor (same as Mate 10 Lite) with its eight cores clocked at 2.36 GHz. It is accompanied with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage, which can be expanded by 256 GB.
Running on it is Android 8.0 Oreo with EMUI 8.0.
At the back, along with a fingerprint scanner on the center, sits a dual-camera setup, with a 16 MP shooter accompanied by a 2 MP camera.

The front comes with the same 2 MP shooter but with a 13 MP lens alongside. The smaller resolution cameras on both the front and the back will be used for depth sensing for bokeh and portrait mode.
Battery capacity is set at 4000 mAh, no word on fast charging from Huawei. The price of the phone is expected to be set around $250 when it is released in the coming few weeks.
