Well, the good news is that you can do it. All you need to do is to follow this 6-ingredient ice cream recipe that’s super easy. And whats more, you don’t even need any expensive ice cream maker to get this deliciously creamy treat.

An ice-cream maker is used to blend the content uniformly and prevent ice crystal buildups but fear not, it’s going to be every bit cool, creamy, sweet and heavenly. So let’s get down to making it!


Ingredients


Strawberry Purée

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup strawberries
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp sugar

Ice cream base

  • 2 cups cream
  • 1 cup condensed milk

Method


Strawberry Purée

  • Blend or chop strawberries in a blender/chopper until smooth

  • Add the butter in a saucepan over medium heat and once melted, add in blended strawberries and sugar.

  • Cook for 2-3 minutes until it thickens

  • Lastly, squeeze in the lemon juice.
  • Allow to cool completely, it’s better to refrigerate for 5-10 minutes  after the mixture has cooled

Ice cream base

  • Whip the condensed milk and cream together until very thick, frothy and has doubled in size

  • Then fold in the ‘cooled’ strawberry purée

  • Mix the mixture well ensuring there are no lumps.

  • Lastly, pour the mixture into airtight containers and freeze overnight.

  • Enjoy your delicious homemade ice cream the next day!
