UAE’s BMS International Interested in Investing $3 Billion in Pakistan

BMS International Commercial Investment LLC of UAE will soon be investing $3 billion in Pakistan. Chairman of the company, Louai Mohammed Ali, made this commitment in a letter to Hamid Subhani, chairman of the Subhani Group.

Subhani Group primarily serves as a consultant and organizes events as well. The group is organizing another property related event in Islamabad to attract investment from UAE and other Gulf countries.

The Investment

UAE has shown serious interest in becoming a part of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), Subhani says. According to the letter, BMS International is keen on investing in multiple sectors in Pakistan, especially real estate development.

Hamid Subhani stated;

We discussed the investment opportunities with the chairman of BMS International Commercial Investment in Abu Dhabi who assured us to invest in this country [Pakistan]. In this respect, we are organizing the Pak-UAE Property Show, International Symposium and Year of Zayed.

According to the initial reports, BMS will invest in

  • real estate development,
  • hospitality and leisure,
  • agriculture and fisheries, and,
  • energy, healthcare and education sectors.

The letter by the chairman of BMS reads;

We convey our best wishes and heartfelt thanks and hope our relationship will be a long-term collaboration between our two countries with a history of cooperation and unique culture.

Subhani added to the matter saying;

During the symposium, the feasibility of different projects will be discussed with investors. The project in which UAE investors are interested will be selected for funding.

He further told that the group has invited Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation, Board of Investment, and officials of Balochistan to propose different projects. Best projects out of these will be selected for funding, Subhani mentioned.

Pak-UAE Property Show

The organizers are looking to hold the event from April 26-28 at Pak-China Friendship Centre in Islamabad. More than 80 exhibitors and 8,000 trade visitors are expected to participate in the event. Subhani told;

Senior government functionaries, foreign dignitaries and diplomats, investors, buyers, decision makers, stakeholders, businessmen, Pakistani and international investors, architects, engineers, town planners, designers and decorators are expected to participate in the show.

He continued saying;

The group is also celebrating the Year of Zayed to pay tribute to the moderate and visionary leader who provided a lot of support and contribution to Pakistan.

BMS International Commercial Investment will participate in the event as well.
