Lenovo Teases a Phone with a Stunning 95% Screen to Body Ratio

Lenovo has teased a “truly full-screen” smartphone that seems to take on a similar iPhone X appeal, albeit without a notch. Chang Cheng, the company’s VP posted an image that reminds of Vivo’s Apex on his official social media account.

The company has remained silent for quite some time and unlike most Chinese companies, Lenovo has not tried to catch up to the current “notch” trends seen in most new smartphones these days. Here’s what the teaser looks like,

In his post, the VP also started a voting poll asking viewers about how much screen-to-body ratio a truly full-screen phone should have. The poll gave users to choose between,

  • 80-84% screen ratio,
  • 85-89% screen ratio, or
  • 90-94% screen ratio.

Coming this June 14th

Lenovo seems to be brewing up a new bezel-less design and might break the 95% barrier by launching a device with almost fully trimmed bezels. Chang Cheng says that the company’s upcoming smartphone will have a screen-to-body ratio higher than 95% with almost no upper or side bezels.

In the future, if it looks anything like the picture in the teaser then it’s safe to say that it won’t have an annoying notch either.

  • I think, they just make the Cell phone upside down for the sake of Bazel-less, why do they think its bazel-less when all the sensors are bottom side. its just a disaster, Notch is not good but still better than this.
