The annual international photographic competition, Wiki Loves Earth, is back. And whats more? As many as ten photos from Pakistan have been shortlisted for it.  In fact, Pakistan also has the highest tally of photos submitted in the competition this time.

Pakistan emerged as the winner of the competition back in 2015 during the second edition of the competition. The photo of Lower Kachura Lake captured by Zaeem Siddiq came out on top out of more than 100,000 photos.

For this year, Pakistani photographers have surely upped their game, with 10 breath-taking photos that depict nature at its best.

Wiki Loves Earth
The event is organized every year to promote the beauty and splendor of protected areas around the world. This year more than 7,600 individuals are participating from 32 countries to grab the first position.
The results of the competition will be announced by mid-September. According to Wikimedia,
“1st place winner will get a full scholarship to Wikimania 2019 in Sweden, other international prizes are Amazon vouchers and there are also prizes per country.”
