Pakistani and Chinese Engineers Sign 10 MoUs for Different Projects

Pakistani and Chinese Engineers have signed 10 MoUs for the development of infrastructure and transport, energy, ICT, housing and other construction projects the at 3rd conference organized by China Pakistan Engineering Forum (CPEF).

Around 100 leading engineering organizations, including a high -level delegation of 17 members from China attended the moot. CPEF was initiated on sidelines of China’s Belt and Road initiative at Beijing in 2017 to act as a bridge between Chinese and Pakistani engineering organizations for CPEC and other Chinese investment projects in Pakistan.

Founding Pakistani members of CPEF include Osmani & Co (consultancy), FWO (BOT/PPP), NLC (construction) and DHA (development) etc.

Chief Guest, former CM Sindh, Engr Murad Ali Shah said that CPEC is a framework of regional connectivity that has great significance for unleashing development in the region. Engr Zhang Ruijie, termed CPEC as an all-weather strategic co-operative partnership between Pakistan and China.

Engr Inam Osmani, Sr Vice President PEC outlined the engineering perspective of CPEF for promoting engineering and construction related projects in the country.

He mentioned that Defence Housing Authority (DHA) will commence development of DHA City Karachi including 100 MW Wind Power, 12 MW Solar Power, Malir Expressway and large-scale housing projects that will truly impart international stature to DHA City.
