Well there you have it Android fans, the latest android version is officially here and no it’s not Peppermint, Pancake, Pop-tart or Pistachio. The P stands for Pie for Android 9.0, and you’ll be the first one to get the update if you are a Pixel User, since it’s rolling out to Google’s devices today.
However, if you’re not a pixel user you’ll have to wait for a few more months to get the Android update even if you’re already using Android P’s beta version. Google said that phone companies that were part of the Android P beta program will get the latest Android version by the end of fall 2018.

Other than Essential, all the other companies mentioned above will launch the update in subsequent months. Essential Phone will get the update alongside Pixel devices right now.
