Xiaomi is all set to launch a new product in a few days time (most likely a smartphone). The company posted an image on Weibo (Chinese social media site) via its Xiaomi Mall account, hinting at the launch.
The image says that Xiaomi will launch something on November 6th (Tuesday) at 2 PM local time (11 AM Pakistan time). It also carries a tagline of “wonderful upgrade” which leads us to believe that it might be the next version of a smartphone or a smart product released earlier by Xiaomi.
Rumors say that Xiaomi will release the Redmi Note 6 on this day. The smartphone maker had released the Redmi Note 6 Pro around a month and a half ago in Thailand. It might be called Redmi Note 6 in China.
A leaked image on Weibo shows the phone in all its glory. It looks quite similar to Xiaomi Mi 8 released earlier.
We know the full specifications of the phone thanks to Xiaomi releasing the phone in Thailand earlier.
It will have a 6.26-inch IPS LCD display with a sizeable notch at the front, coming in at a 19:9 aspect ratio and Full HD+ resolution. On the inside, the Redmi Note 6 will feature a Snapdragon 626 SoC with 3/4/6 GB RAM and 32/64 GB internal storage.
For its cameras, the Redmi Note 6 will have a dual 12+5 MP camera setup on the back and 20+2 MP shooters up front.
The battery unit will be 4000 mAh while its price is expected to be 999 Yuan (around Rs. 19,400) for the base 3 GB RAM + 32 GB storage model.
Xiaomi might be aiming to announce this phone on November 6th and it will be available on November 11th. November 11th is celebrated as Singles Day in China with some of the biggest sales occuring on the same day.
We’ll have more info once Xiaomi announces the phone next week.
