PM Khan also tasked Dar to prepare a youth policy. After the meeting, Usman Dar announced he would not withdraw any salary as a special assistant to Prime Minister.

“I will not take any salary for this post, as I cannot become a burden on the national exchequer,” he said.

Dar further vowed not ‘to waste money on laptops’ but spend it on the people.

“We will spend money on the youth and not on laptops. I will work with the prime minister to empower youth to become independent,” he added.

Khan himself liked Usman Dar’s appointment and said that the Dar was the best choice to overlook the youth policy.

PM Imran said he was in power because of the support of the country’s youth and therefore, he wanted to do something special for them.

“If the youth did not support us, we may not have been in power today. We will provide the youth with facilities which have never been given before.”
