Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Leaks With a 48MP Camera & Major Upgrades

Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 might be launching soon as the phone has been spotted on Geekbench – a smartphone benchmarking site. The benchmark listing has also detailed some of the Redmi Note 7’s internals, such as its Snapdragon 660 chipset.

According to leaks, the phone is expected to launch as soon as this Thursday, the 10th of January, which seems highly likely to happen given its sudden appearance on the benchmarking site.

High-end Photography & Decent Internals

It’s a highly-anticipated launch, as the phone is expected to bring some great photography features to the midrange. Some leaks talk about its camera, which is going to be a dual-cam set up consisting of a 48 MP primary sensor and an unknown secondary camera.

Moreover, the latest listing also confirms the RAM size of 6 GB, which might only come in the higher-end, more expensive variants.

As for the SD 660-fueled performance, the Redmi Note 7 has managed to score 1,462 for single core and 4,556 points for multi-core performance as seen in Geekbench listings.

Design Elements and Color Options

The design is going to consist of a gradient rear finish and a waterdrop notch on the display – much like the Xiaomi Play, the company’s first phone with this design.

The Redmi Note 7 will become one of the first few Xiaomi phones to feature a waterdrop notch, and a design similar to current trends – a shiny glass back, gradient color options, and super trimmed bezels.

Color options are likely to be Black, Blue, and Pink – as seen in recent leaks. If you haven’t heard yet, Redmi – much like Honor – is going to become an independent midrange smartphone brand that will focus on making its own budget smartphones.

The smartphones will have the same good Xiaomi features but will be sold by its independent subsidiary, under the Redmi brand name.

  • I purchased Redmi note 5 pro last month and am happy with the service. The only issue is of themes but its not a big deal. Note 7 will also impress the users.

      • Yes I have don’t that. Changed to US. But even after that the themes were not working properly so today I changed back to the default theme.

        • @owaiis:disqus Use VPN and select India as country and open Themes, your app will work without any issue.
