As many as twenty new buses for the Peshawar Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project have arrived in the city.
In a statement issued late on Tuesday, the Provincial Minister for Local Government and Rural Development, Shahram Khan Tarakai said the buses would have a separate portion for men and women.
He added that the state of the art buses would also carry a designated seating arrangement for physically challenged persons.
The buses had arrived at Karachi port last week but took about a week more to transport them to the provincial capital. These buses have been parked at an enclosure near Zarghoni Masjid Hayatabad.
In his Twitter message, the minister mentioned that the PTI government was going to fulfill its promise with the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
