Following the arrival of Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammad bin Salman, the Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad Hamza Shafqaat has announced a public holiday in the federal capital on Monday, 18th February 2019.
“Monday 18th February is being declared as a local holiday in Islamabad. This is being done to reduce inconvenience to the general public,” announced DC Islamabad in a tweet which also carried an official notification.
It also added that the offices of essential services including MCI, CDA, ICT Administration, ICT Police, IESCO, SNGPL, and hospitals will be exempted from the holiday.

While responding to a Twitter user, Shafqaat mentioned that the Civil Services examination will carry on as per schedule on Monday.
