Samsung is Already Working on a Successor of Galaxy Fold

Samsung Galaxy Fold has been introduced and is yet to hit the market, but the company has reportedly started working on two more foldable phones succeeding its first foldable phone. Samsung seems quite committed to keeping the spur of excitement alive in the market.

This news comes from a report from Bloomberg. Although the success of these phones is not certain at the moment, the research director of the company seems ambitious and thinks that “the time is ripe for research”.

What to Expect?

At this point, we cannot say that the foldable phones will be a hit in the market as the initial impressions of the Galaxy Fold are not very promising. Moreover, the price of galaxy fold is approximately $1980 which is almost double that of high-end phones in the market right now. Thus, its future looks bleak.

Design

Based on what Bloomberg has reported, one of the two phones will have a small display on the outside and a larger screen on the inside, somewhat similar to the Motorola RAZR foldable phone concept that was leaked earlier.

The second phone will be similar to the Huawei Mate X in terms of design, with an outward folding screen.

In any case, it’s interesting to see the market for foldable phones heating up already, with none available in the market right now (except for FlexPai, but it’s only available in China).
