The predecessor of Huawei P smart+ is already in stores but the Chinese tech giant has decided to take it up a “notch” with the slogan “Even smarter?”
The plus model has upgraded internals and a larger display as compared to Huawei P smart 2019.
Design and Display
The body of this smartphone is made with a combination of aluminum alloy and polycarbonate which gives it the glossy finish. The exterior somewhat replicates the looks of iPhone X. The dual camera is placed at the top left corner and fingerprint sensor is mounted at the back. It comes in black and a bluish-purple gradient shade.
With a 6.21 inch full HD+ display, it comes with an impressive resolution of 2340 x 1080. The aspect ratio is 19:9 with a screen to body ratio of nearly 85 percent.
Internals and Storage
HiSilicon Kirin 710 chip from Huawei powers this smartphone. It features an octa-core processor that is used with the ARM Mali-G51 MP4 graphics processor.
The main variant of this phone comes with 3 GB RAM and 64 GB of storage. The phone comes with Android 9.0 Pie based Huawei Emotion UI 9.0.
There’s a headphone jack as well as a micro USB charging port that makes the P Smart+ among the only few that still feature the old charging port.
Cameras
The cameras installed in Huawei P smart+ are quite impressive. The rear camera features a triple 24MP + 16 MP + 2 MP camera. While the 24MP sensor is used for regular photography, the 16MP ultrawide camera sensor is helpful when you want to fit in more in your pictures.
The rear cam also lets you shot pictures in low light thanks tot he dedicated Night Mode and you can also record slow-mo videos at up to 480 fps.
The selfie camera boasts 8MP and resides in the tiny notch at the top.
Battery and Pricing
This phone is equipped with a reasonable battery capacity of 3,400 mAh that should be fine for day to day tasks. The battery supports fast charging and takes approximately 90 minutes to charge completely.
