Oppo Reveals A7n, a Slightly Better Version of the A5S

Oppo A7n, another mid-range phone from Oppo was silently unveiled in China. It looks like an upgraded variant of Oppo A5s since all the specifications it features are similar to Oppo A5s except for the upgraded RAM and selfie camera.

It can also be called the MediaTek version of Oppo A7, that was launched in November 2018.

Design and Display

The design of this phone is exactly the same as the Oppo A5s. It has a dual sensor rear camera at the top left and a customary fingerprint sensor in the center.

It features a 6.2 inches HD+ screen with a resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels. I must say, this resolution is a big turn off keeping in mind the type of specifications other Chinese mid-ranger smartphones possess. The pixel density is 270 ppi with a 19:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone has 88.3 percent screen to body ratio.

Internal and Storage

Under the hood, it has an octa-core Helio P35 SoC chipset and an IMG GE8320 GPU. It features 4 GB RAM and 64 GB of built-in memory.

The operating system used is the now-aging Android 8.1 Oreo with ColorOS 5.2.1. This is slightly disappointing since almost all the other mid-range phones use Android 9.0 Pie.

Cameras

The rear cameras featured by Oppo A7n are 13 MP and 2 MP. The selfie camera, as compared to Oppo A5s has been upgraded from 8 MP to 16 MP.

It comes with a preloaded portrait mode that blurs the background and also an AI beatification mode that can recognize 296 facial uplift points.

Battery and Pricing

It has an impressive battery with a capacity 4230 mAh, however, it does not come with fast charging. The pricing of the phone is also unavailable as of now.
