Samsung Galaxy S10 Gets a Manual Night Mode

Smartphone photography has really stepped it up in 2019, with major phone makers banking hard on their flagship phone’s camera chops.

This holds true for Samsung Galaxy S10 as well.

S10’s camera came originally with a “Bright Night” mode for low-light shots, however, it was controlled by an automatic algorithm and could not be activated manually.

The lack of a manual night mode was very confusing, and some reviewers did mention it, saying this was an odd oversight, especially, when other cheaper phones had one.

Samsung’s latest firmware update changes this and brings a dedicated night mode that can be activated manually like all other modes (by swiping across the screen).

The update has only been rolled out to Switzerland as of now, the rest of the world can expect the firmware update soon.

The Galaxy S10 is no slouch when it comes to photography, but it sorely lacked in the low light dept.. In comparison to the S10’s night mode, Pixel 3’s shots are much better and well contrasted, considering it has a single 12MP sensor as opposed to S10’s 3 cameras.
