Realme 3 Pro Challenges Redmi Note 7 for the Midrange Throne

Despite being barely a year old, Realme has proven to be a worthy contender to Xiaomi’s Redmi series. It has managed successful sales figures, launched 7 phones, and has grabbed a good share of the smartphone market.

Their new Realme 3 Pro is no less than its predecessors and is breaking records like all other Realme phones. Like its predecessor took aim at Redmi Note 6 Pro, Realme 3 Pro is competing with Redmi Note 7 Pro with its impressive specifications.

Design and Display

The front of Realme 3 Pro is pretty generic. It does not push any boundaries and is in line with the latest trends with minimal bezels and a teardrop notch. Moving on to the back, it has a gradient design with a plastic back that looks a lot like glass, with a regular fingerprint sensor.

It features a 6.3-inch Full HD+ display at 409 PPI pixel density. It can manage a peak brightness of 400 nits, according to Realme.

Internal and Storage

Realme always focuses on powerful hardware combined with a reasonable price. This phone, like its predecessor, focuses on beating Redmi Note 7 Pro’s hardware. It features a Snapdragon 710 chipset paired with 4 GB or 6 GB RAM. The phone has three RAM/storage variants: 4GB/ 64GB, 6GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB.

The memory is expandable via memory card and the phone runs on Android 9.0 Pie topped with ColorOS 6.0.

Cameras

The camera specifications featured by this phone are not very impressive. The rear camera features two sensors with a 16 MP primary sensor and a 5 MP lens that acts as a depth sensor. There is no ultra-wide sensor here, which is a big turn off considering all mid-range phones come with one.

The selfie camera consists of a single 25 MP single module mounted on the notch.

Battery and Pricing

The phone features a 4,045 mAh battery which comes with Oppo’s VOOC 3.0 20W fast charging.

The primary variant 4GB/64GB comes at a price tag of $200 and the second variant 6GB/64GB comes at a price tag of $243.

The phone will go on sale at Flipkart (India) and Realme’s own website on 29^th April.
