McDonald’s and PIA have signed a memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at Jinnah International Airport Karachi. According to the agreement, PIA travelers will be able to enjoy special discounts and offers at Mcdonald’s in the first phase.
Mcdonald’s promotions and offers will be advertised on the passenger boarding cards for PIA flights. Offers can be enjoyed at any of the food chain’s outlets on airport lounges or outside by showing the boarding passes.
Furthermore, PIA may include the fast-food brand’s products like McCafe coffee and cappuccino in the inflight menu and serve it in lounges as well.
PIA’s higher management, including CEO and Chief Commercial Officer attended the ceremony. McDonald’s Chief of Operations, Marketing, and Development Officer Jamil Mughal was also present.
PIA CEO Arshad Malik said on the occasion:
This union is a great opportunity for both the brands to come together for the combined benefit of customers and improvement in value chain.
Such steps can be very helpful in attracting passengers to travel through the national carrier and make it profitable once again. PIA’s management intends to take further such initiatives and collaborative ventures as a part of its revival plan.
