Oppo & Vivo Unveil Dual Wi-Fi Technology for Stable & Faster Connections

Since the past few years, BBK electronics’ smartphone brands, namely Oppo and Vivo, have been actively working on research and innovations. The companies have done it again by announcing their Dual Wi-Fi acceleration tech for smartphones.

As the name suggests, the feature will allow users to connect to two Wi-Fis at a time. This will not only provide faster browsing but according to the ColorOS’ Weibo page, it will improve the download speed up to 322 percent and will also provide a more stable connection for gaming purposes.

The ColorOS page on Weibo recently posted a 40 seconds video showcasing the new technology.

The video shows Oppo Reno 10x Zoom connecting to a 2.4 GHz main Wi-Fi and a 5 GHz secondary Wi-Fi which boosts the browsing speed by 44.5 percent as compared to regular connectivity.

On the other hand, Vivo demonstrated the technology on two iQOO smartphones where the phone uses the dual connectivity for low latency in a game and faster application download. The Wi-Fi connectivity is the same as Oppo i.e. 2.4 GHz main Wi-Fi and a 5 GHz secondary Wi-Fi.

In case of a disconnection or slower WiFi, the phone automatically switches to the faster and more stable connection.
