UAE to Open Asia’s Biggest Visa Centers in Pakistan

United Arab Emirates (UAE) is planning to inaugurate Asia’s biggest visa center in Karachi. The country’s ambassador to Pakistan, Hamad Obaid Alzaabi, made these remarks during his visit to Karachi Chambers of Commerce & Industry on Friday.

Mr. Alzaabi was accompanied by UAE Deputy Consul General Bakheet Ateeq Alremeithi.

He said the visa facility in the port city will start operating in September while another similar visa center will be opened in Islamabad early in October.

“The visa center will offer every facility, including medical insurance, check-ups, and contracts, etc. The visa center in Karachi will be the biggest visa center of Asia. The entire team for this Visa Centre at Khayaban-i-Shamsheer will come from the UAE,” said KCCI in a statement following  Alzaabi’s visit.

The envoy thanked KCCI members for their warm hospitality. The ambassador said that he had been to various parts of the country including Lahore, Faisalabad, Quetta, Waziristan, and even Islamabad, but Karachi was different from them all. He said that social life, atmosphere, culture, and people in the metropolitan, are very attracting compared to other cities.

The statement quoted Alzaabi saying:

We are trying to find new areas of cooperation where we could work together and also examining the challenging areas so that the authorities in the UAE could address them. Insha Allah, we will put our hands together to move forward in the future.

He also mentioned that his country is now offering Silver and Golden Investment Visas for five and ten years, respectively. He elaborated that the criterion for long-term visas depended upon the size of the company and their investment in UAE.
