Pakistan’s former captain Shahid Afridi will be representing Qalandars in this year’s T10 League in Abu Dhabi.
Boom Boom Afridi was signed as team’s icon player and will bring a lot of experience along with firepower to the team.
Speaking about the tournament, Afridi said:
I was very excited to be a part of it (T10) from the time I heard it was going to be played in Abu Dhabi. The first two editions of T10 were in Sharjah and now it is in Abu Dhabi. We will be here to provide fans all the entertainment in this short format of the game.
He further added that the competition has a unique format and the players have to have a go right from the start of the game.
It is worth pointing out that the franchise is closely linked with the Pakistan Super League (PSL) team Lahore Qalandars and Fawad Rana is the chairman of both sides.
The first match of the Abu Dhabi T10 will take place on November 15.
