AGP Finds Irregularities Worth Rs. 118 Million in Lahore Metro Bus Project

The Auditor General of Pakistan (AGP) has unearthed irregularities of millions of rupees in Lahore Metro Bus project. The special audit report pointed out inconsistencies worth Rs. 118.49 million in the metro bus project.

It highlights that over a hundred million rupees were lost because of non-cooperation between Punjab Housing Authority (PHA) and metro contractors.

It further reveals that millions of rupees were allocated for plantation on the track. However, the task never even began while the funds vanished from the report.

It pointed out that the administration of PHA took poor decisions that resulted in losses of millions of rupees to the exchequer.

The AGP further recommended departmental proceedings against the concerned officials.
