PUBG is Getting Throwable Weapons, Vending Machines & New Vehicle

PUBG Season 5 is underway and that means major changes are on the way as well. PUBG Corp has unveiled the latest patch notes, revealing all that is coming with Season 5.

The update will introduce throwable items for both combat, and supporting your team. You will be able to quickly chuck healing items to a critical teammate by pressing the interact button. You will also be able to use all your melee weapons as a throwable tool to attack your enemies.

Similar to Fortnite, there will now be several vending machines across maps Minimar and Camp Jackal. These vending machines will allow players to grab painkillers and energy drinks.

Speaking of Minimar, the map is getting a refresh similar to the overhaul Erangel received in the previous season. Miramar will feature a race track full of ramps, loops, jumps, signboards, and a new car called Gold Mirado. Weapons and armor will also spawn more often to make things a little more exciting.

The new survivor pass will bring fresh new rewards, missions, and improved systems. Players will be able to get together for community missions to discover the hidden story behind Minimar.

Beyond gameplay changes, you can also expect user interface tweaks with unified categories for items, filter options, easily accessible buttons, improved UI for the store, new animations, and improved firing mode display.

Season 5 is playable on PC, but on test servers only for now, and will go live on October 23 for both PC and consoles.

  • All BR games need to add that new fortnite feature where you can carry downed teammates.
