iShopping.pk (a brand of JW&FA Companies Pvt. Ltd.) and UnionPay International, one of the leading international bankcard companies, have signed an agreement to enable UnionPay Online Payment (UPOP) at iShopping.pk in Pakistan.
This collaboration will facilitate UnionPay cardholders to engage in a secure online marketplace from the comfort of their homes. This move is expected to enhance the already flourishing e-commerce acceptance of UnionPay in Pakistan.
The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Jamal Dhedhi (CEO – iShopping.pk) along with team members and Mr. Han Wang (GM – UnionPay International Middle East Branch) & Mr. Nadeem Haroon (Country Manager – Pakistan & Afghanistan at UnionPay International ME) with his team members.

UPOP has been specifically developed by UPI to provide safe and smooth online payment service to UnionPay cardholders. Through this service, UnionPay cardholders will receive a unique OTP (one-time password) by SMS every time they conduct an online transaction.
This acts as an additional verification measure to confirm the legitimacy of the transaction and can therefore effectively prevent online frauds.
