International SOS – a leading medical and travel security service provider – has developed an interactive world map that describes the world’s most dangerous and safest countries for travel in 2020.
The map has ranked all the countries in the world on three different criteria: media, security, and road safety.
Dangerous Countries to Travel in 2020
In the first two categories, medical and security, the countries are ranked out of five points, while road safety is measured based on the mortality rate per 100,000 people.
These countries had the highest security risk, according to the Travel Security Map:
- South Sudan
- The Central African Republic
Countries With The Highest Medical Risk
- North Korea
Safest Countries to Travel in 2020
The countries marked as the safest to travel next year are all in Europe.
The map has also ranked Pakistan on its criteria. It shows that Pakistan has a high-security risk in selected areas and a variable risk in the provision of health and medical facilities to travelers. It means that the facilities are available from selected providers in major cities.
