On Wednesday, Faisalabad police arrested a religious teacher (Qari) allegedly involved in sexually abusing his students.
The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of Madina Town police station, Faisalabad. Residents of Madina Town reported to the police that a religious teacher would show inappropriate videos to minor students and sexually abuse them.
SHO Madina Town police station said that the Police acted timely and arrested the teacher.
An officer working on the case confirmed that the teacher frequently showed inappropriate videos to minors during lessons. The teacher has also been sexually abusing the students, added the officer. The mobile on which the teacher used to show inappropriate videos to the students has been recovered as well.
Madina Town police have lodged an FIR against the religious teacher and investigation is underway.
