Pablo Escobar’s Brother Launches “World’s Toughest” Foldable Smartphone for Just $349

To symbolize Pablo Escobar’s 26th death anniversary, his brother Robert Escobar has launched a folding smartphone dubbed the ‘Escobar Fold 1’. The smartphone is similar to Samsung’s Galaxy Fold launched this year; however, the Escobar Fold 1 is much cheaper and will set users back by only $349 for the 128 GB variant and $499 for the 512 GB variant. For comparison, Samsung’s Galaxy Fold costs $2214.

According to Escobar’s Company, the smartphone is extremely durable and can only be destroyed if set on fire. According to the Firm’s CEO Olof Gustafsson, the Company has used its proprietary plastic for the construction of the display hence, the display is the “most durable telephone screen on the market.” He also said:

Our phone has gone through rigorous testing. The only true way to break our phone is to burn it, which I would imagine an average user would not do.

Apart from this, the smartphone will come in an unlocked version and will support a dual-sim system. Unfortunately, for now, that is all we know about Escobar Fold 1 specifications.

With the recent announcement, it seems like Robert Escobar is in direct competition with the Korean Giant, however, that is not how it is. According to him, his main target is Apple. He believes that the Cupertino is “cheating the people and selling worthless phones to consumers, overpriced,”. Based on Escobar’s statement, he has spent around $1 million on lawyers and will begin a class-action lawsuit against the Cupertino on 6th January 2020.
