Anti Corruption Establishment Punjab Recovered Rs. 132 Billion in 15 Months

9th December marked the International Anti-Corruption Day around the world.

An official ceremony in connection to the International Anti-Corruption Day was held in Islamabad where Prime Minister Imran Khan launched an anti-corruption application called ‘Report Corruption.’

While addressing the ceremony, PM Imran Khan lauded the performance of the Anti Corruption Establishment (ACE) of Punjab.

Since Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf came to power, ACE Punjab recovered a whopping Rs. 132 billion from corrupt elements. The recovered amount will be spent for the betterment of citizens, said PM Khan.

Statistics of ACE Punjab From August 2018 to November 2019

According to the official figures released by the Anti Corruption Establishment (ACE) of Punjab, it has recovered Rs. 132.12 billion in the last 15 months.

From August 2018 to November 2019, ACE received 31,746 complaints. The department registered 1,954 cases and initiated 6,883 inquiries into corruption incidents. 1,222 challans were submitted and 2,256 arrests were made during 349 raids during the said period.

Moreover, the Anti Corruption Establishment disposed of 32,250 complaints in the last 15 months. The department disposed of 10,152 inquiries and concluded 2,411 corruption cases.

ACE Punjab made direct recoveries worth Rs. 1,798.82 million and indirect recoveries worth Rs. 2,939.1 million. The department collected Rs. 12,7383.95 million from land recoveries alone.

Other than that, 361 proclaimed offenders and 52 court absconders were arrested by ACE between August 2018 and November 2019.
