Prime Minister Imran Khan has launched the country’s first anti-graft mobile application called ‘Report Corruption.’
The Anti-Corruption Establishment of Punjab has introduced the app in a bid to accelerate the government’s drive against corrupt elements in society.
Addressing the launch ceremony on Monday, PM Khan said that the vision of Naya Pakistan cannot be accomplished without people’s support.

Praising the idea of the ‘Report Corruption’ app, Khan said that this is a significant step towards making Pakistan a modern society. He also advised the Punjab government to advertise this app so that people can make full use of it.
The premier also appreciated Punjab Anti-Corruption’s efforts in recovering government land worth Rs. 132 billion, besides another amount of Rs. 5 billion from corrupt people. He underscored the need to highlight the worst aspects of corruption in people’s lives.

In some instances, people were also seen showering flower petals on the corrupt people out of their ignorance.
Prime Minister hoped that active participation from the country’s youth will lead the anti-corruption drive. He also advised the Punjab government to publicize the performance of the mobile app every month to encourage people to take part in the initiative.
Speaking on occasion, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Anti-Corruption, Barrister Shahzad Akbar said that after the launch of the ‘Report Corruption’ app, the provincial government’s next target is to digitize the whole anti-corruption department.
He said that the application is an opportunity for citizens to be involved in the accountability process directly.

You want a corruption-free Pakistan? Get up and report corruption around you. The application allows you to lodge a complaint anonymously to promote the concept of the whistleblower.
The Punjab Anti-Corruption director also briefed the participants on the department’s performance.
He highlighted that in the last 16 months, the department received 31,746 complaints, and 6,883 inquiries were made into these cases.
During the process, we recovered a total of Rs. 1,798.82 million, during a land worth Rs. 12,738.95 million had been retrieved from the illegal occupation.
He urged people to help them bring corrupt elements of society to justice by using this application.

Good Initiative. but what about the fear that one faces while reporting crime/corruption on any platform. the fear of getting disclosed to the culprit…
The complaint will be sent anonymously so no such fear!
