Lenovo has recently set up a Weibo account, teasing that it’s working on a gaming smartphone for its Legion sub-brand. They have now confirmed that this gaming smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm’s most powerful SoC, the Snapdragon 865.
The Lenovo Legion smartphone will be joining other gaming phone brands that have made a name for themselves including Asus Rog, Black Shark, Razr, Nubia Red Magic, etc.
Gaming smartphones are usually decked out with the most premium specifications with liquid cooling and software game boosters and we can expect the same from Lenovo’s upcoming iteration.
We can expect the Legion gaming smartphone to feature a large display with 2K resolution and a 90 to 120Hz refresh rate with and 240Hz touch response time. It is likely to come with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.0 storage, a high-end camera and a large battery with super-fast charging. It may also feature an aggressive design language similar to the rest of its gaming lineup.
There is currently no word on a release date yet, but more details are expected to surface in a few weeks.
