Cheetay News: Cheetay COO Takes to Lahore Streets in Spirit Of Volunteerism

Just over a month ago, Pakistan joined the list of countries affected by the novel coronavirus. Ever since, both the medical experts and the government have been trying to make sense of the rampant chaos in hopes of taming the monster that is the Covid-19 pandemic.

The most pertinent and quite possibly the most devastating of all the problems caused by the pandemic is the fact that our country is facing heavy economic losses amid the lock-down. Furthermore, these losses have a trickle-down effect on the society as hundreds of businesses are facing possible dissolution and thousands of employees are being laid off.

Even before the prevailing crisis, the daily wage earners were barely getting enough compensation to fulfill the day-to-day necessities. That too has been taken away from them due to the lock-downs, resulting in hunger and heartbreak to wreak havoc on the marginalized segments across the country.

Those that still have a means of earning, step out of their homes on a daily basis while risking their own lives to ensure the wellbeing of their families. Above all, we must realize the role of the law enforcement agencies who choose to serve the country even in the prevalent challenges.

However, amid these trying times, the spirit of volunteerism has been on the rise with a number of noble souls stepping forth to offer their services. In an interesting development on that front, Cheetay‘s very own Mr. Mohsin Qureshi was spotted distributing food parcels among the needy on Lahore streets.

Mr. Mohsin Qureshi is the Chief Operating Officer of Cheetay, who took to the streets of Lahore this weekend to greet the daily wage workers and the law enforcement officials and offered them free meals as a sign of respect solidarity among the society.

Dressed in the Cheetay’s signature uniform, Mr. Qureshi also rode with the goal to represent Cheetay as a diligent and proud element of the Pakistani society. The exercise was intended to seek unity with and offer a helping hand to the professional counterparts from foodpanda as well as other daily wage workers and the law enforcers who fearlessly and diligently serve the nation.

The latest developments related to the pandemic have their share of positive outcomes as well, one of which is that the society has been brought closer together while being physically further apart. The aforementioned movement by Mr. Qureshi of Cheetay is one of the prime examples of such positive paradigm shifts that have taken place as of late.

These gestures are much needed in these trying times as they are what will result in the resurgence of the great nation that is Pakistan!

If you loved this gesture from the COO of Cheetay, we are sure you’ll love how Cheetay is taking care of it’s riders.
