Here’s How Coronavirus Lockdown is Saving Thousands of Lives in Pakistan

One good thing that came out of the current coronavirus lockdown is the fall in the number of fatalities in road accidents by 15.34% during the first four months of this year as compared to the same period last year.

Lahore has seen 68 fatalities during the period of 1st January 2020 till 21st April 2020 as shown by the data collected by Rescue 1122. The number of fatalities last year was 89 during the same period –a fall of 23.59%.

In Punjab according to the information available, during the first four months of last year, 1,056 people lost their lives in road incidents as compared to 894 this year. Clearly, the lockdown has had an impact.

In total, over 90,728 road accidents took place in the first four months of 2020 with 100,420 people being injured. This was 18.44% and 20.06% less as compared to the accidents and injuries that occurred last year. • What I think from above article.

Stay in homes so accidents can be reduced.
or Buy cars and don’t drive them and after one month wow we have reduced accidents by 20%.
